Game Drives (guided or self-drive) and Bush Walks
Must do!...Explore the Park with an experienced and passionate guide in an open safari vehicle. You will learn so much! We strongly recommend going in with a guide before you self drive, to learn from that experience. We also strongly recommend booking onto a game drive at times of public holiday to avoid the need to pre book advance day passes to be sure to get in for a self-drive.
The start times for each activity vary according to the season. Please carefully note start and end location and times for each activity. Private game drives (full or half day) are usually picked up/dropped off at Trees Too. For others you must self-drive to the start/end point.
N.B. Activities marked * below are operated by Sanparks and you may be requested to pay at the point of booking. Private game drives are usually payable on completion of the activity. Please confirm at the point of booking.

Please reconfirm prices prior to booking an activity as operators change their prices at different times of the year. Also please note that start/finish times vary according to the season. Carefully note Dates, pick up/drop off details and what is included/excluded from the price.
Full or half day game drives:
Pick up and drop off at Trees Too, start and end times vary according to the season but around 0530-1630..an amazing experience. Do this THEN self-drive. You'll learn so much from this day with our great ranger!

Rates for full days are R6600 and half days are R5500.
Bush walks*
(3 hours-usually start around 0500 from Croc Bridge gate) Allow a more intimate involvement with the landscape and a chance to focus on smaller aspects of nature that would go unseen from a car. Price includes some snacks and entrance fees.

Sunset Drives*
(3 hours) Start from Croc Bridge Gate as the Park is closing, around 1630,so you have the 'out of hour's experience. Highly recommended.
Tariff from 1 November 2025 to 31 October 2026: R600 for Adults, R350 for children (includes conservation fee)
Sunrise Drives*
(3 hours) start from Croc Bridge Gate around 0430..again, the out of hours experience is great if you are up for leaving Trees Too around 0420!

Night drives*
(2 hours) start from Croc Bridge Gate at 2000 and powerful searchlights give participants a taste of the nocturnal life of the bush.

Self-drive
We can recommend routes for self-drive according to the season. Just buy a guidebook with Kruger maps and we'll tell you what is best for that season! This fives you flexibility about where to go and how long to spend in the Park. If you keep your papers you can enter and exit a couple of times on the same day.
Be aware that to self-drive during public and SA school holidays, you MUST pre book an advance day pass to be sure to get in! You can do this by creating an account on www.sanparks.org, then follow the instructions. Not needed if you are on a guided game drive or other Park activity.

Pack: NB. In winter months (June/July/August), early mornings and later evenings can be very cold in an open safari vehicle..bring hats!
